Nutrition Education (45 minutes) On odd weeks, students are introduced to a nutrition topic and engage in activities, like setting nutrition goals, that reinforce the lesson.
Cooking Lab Component (20 minutes) Students will watch and follow the recorded cooking lab to prepare a main dish inspired by a different culture. They receive the ingredients to replicate the meal at home, and have two weeks to do so.
In the next two sessions, students reflect on their cooking experience, their liking of the dish, and sensory evaluation (e.g., appearance, taste, aroma). They are encouraged to send a photo of their completed dish to acenyc@cornell.edu and can vote on the best food photo at the end of the two weeks.
